York University has been an integral part of shaping me throughout my life. Personally, it has improved my skills in technology, essential for 21st century learning. It has also improved my understanding of teaching by providing me with different models and approaches to teaching. The program has improved my writing and raised it to a higher level where I am now hoping to write independent papers in the future. So far, I have contributed to some academic journals and hope with these new skills and feedback, I can continue to write more. Some of the ways that the program could be improved could be by providing additional practical lessons like geo-informatics to be included and allow students to work with their professors in person and supplement the virtual teaching. In general, my thoughts towards a M.Ed. program is that learning at a graduate level in any course, can give a student a new dimension of learning, challenge the student to be serious and capitalize on what they are taught, and take the learning and practice into the field so that it becomes valuable to both them and to their community.
