The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is dedicated to accompanying, serving, and advocating for refugees and other forcibly displaced individuals, facilitating their healing, learning, and the ability to shape their own future. An integral part of this vision is unlocking refugee youths’ economic potential.

To achieve this goal, JRS introduced the Pathfinder Program, an initiative that aligns professional and vocational training with employment and business opportunities relevant to the local market. Through this innovative program, refugee youth gain access to courses spanning various disciplines, including early childhood and primary school teaching, digital inclusion, entrepreneurship, and communications. Additionally, participants receive valuable support through mentorship, job placement assistance, and career guidance, empowering them to seamlessly transition into employment and become catalysts for positive change in their communities.

JRS is currently operational in Kenya, Jordan, Cameroon, Malawi, and Thailand, impacting over 3,000 students annually and achieving impressive employment rates ranging between 70-85%.
